The collection area at the base of the evaporator column allows for collection of the concentrated product, while solvent vapour passes through to the condenser. A wide flow path helps ensure there is no carry-over of the product into the solvent stream.

At Senti Solutions, we specialize in falling film evaporators (FFEs) designed for various industries — from solvent recovery in chemical, cannabis, and pharmaceutical processes to food and beverage concentration and water treatment. Our engineering team brings years of experience crafting ASME/CRN-certified systems that deliver consistent and efficient evaporation while preserving product quality. Whether you’re scaling up production or optimizing an existing line, our customizable FFEs help you reduce operational costs, maintain strict compliance, and streamline your entire process.

A falling film evaporator allows for high throughput, continuous solvent recovery inline with any process.

Key Benefits & Differentiators

At Senti Solutions, we engineer specialized falling film evaporators that accelerate solvent recovery, concentration, and fluid processing for processes requiring precision. Our ASME and CRN-certified systems are built for reliability, safety, and cost-effective performance across industries like chemical, cannabis, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage. By employing advanced thin-film technology, we help you preserve product quality, reduce energy consumption, and streamline operations. Whether you’re scaling up production or refining an existing line, our team offers end-to-end solutions — from design and fabrication to installation and support — ensuring your facility runs at peak efficiency.

  • High Evaporation Efficiency
Thin-film design ensures rapid heat transfer and fast evaporation rates with minimal energy loss.
  • Versatile Applications
From solvent recovery and cannabis extraction to food processing (e.g., juice concentration) and water treatment, our FFEs handle diverse fluids.
  • Safety
Built to strict safety standards, perfect for explosion-proof environments and/or ASME/CRN applications requiring reliable and regulatory-compliant equipment.
  • Low Thermal Impact
Short residence times and gentle heating reduce thermal degradation, helping preserve product quality — important for food & nutraceuticals.
  • Custom Integration & Automation
Our experts design full turnkey systems, including pumps, condensers, and HMI/PLC automated control panels, integrating smoothly with your existing process.
Solvent vapor is condensed in our Diffusion Condenser, which allows for highly efficient condensation by percolating through a cooled solvent reservoir

How It Works

Our falling film evaporators use vertical tubes heated on the outside. Liquid is distributed in a thin film across the interior surfaces, promoting rapid evaporation with minimal energy use. Here’s our typical delivery approach:

  1. Consultation & Analysis
We review your process requirements (throughput, solvent type, or fluid composition) and make determinations on design.
  2. Design & Fabrication
Our engineers create a custom blueprint to optimize evaporation efficiency while meeting ASME/CRN and hazardous location guidelines.
  3. Manufacturing & Testing
The FFEs are fully manufactured in our facility in Guelph, Ontario. Each system undergoes rigorous inspections to ensure proper function and avoid manufacturing defects.
  4. Installation & Training
Our technicians come on-site to offer installation and commissioning services. The technicians ensure proper function, integration, and provide operator training and ongoing support to ensure trouble-free operation.
